It comes from Barbara Streisand years ago tried to suppress photos of her house being published over privacy- it had the opposite effect of the news story being published all over the world and everybody seeing the photos of her house.

Fun fact: the asteroids in the asteroid belt should've cohered and formed a fourth rocky planet (they're at the right distance according to a formula called the Titus-Bode law), but the pull of Jupiter's gravity is so strong it kept them from doing it.

There is a fantastic movie about #6 called "The New Year That Never Came" (2024). I saw it at a film festival, but I haven't been able to find it since (I'm in the US).

It's in Romanian, and it's one of those Sudoku-movies, where there are several stories that intersect, but, they come together quickly. It's one of the best films I've seen in the last five years.
