Pretty funny that I was holding a rubik's cube, whilst taking the challenge.

I have a rubiks cube next to me also but I ALSO have some japanese incense in my room that is bergamot but somehow I missed that question lol!

I did it right after checking the rubiks cube MB post...

7/10. I'm a goofy foot myself, pretty nice to see that question come up.

I also love how that one question even has a hint and it's still only 49% correctly answered

I knew that. Excellent performance by Kathy Bates.

Oooohhh. I just realised. Left-handed people (like me) use their right foot (I just realised)...

I haven't seen any Stephen King... Tbh, he sounds like a creepy guy

nahhhh hes fine

He constantly writes about underaged girls' bodies in a weird way in his books. Bit of a creep.

And that 18% said Shawshank Redemption - a film where there is not a single word spoken by a named female character!

damn i thought his wife spoke once

Yes -Andy's wife speaks in the opening flashback-only for a few seconds tho

These days they would shoehorn in a conversation between two women somehow. Not sure how they would do it in a movie entirely set in a men's prison, but they'd find a way.

Never actually thought about that. But I suppose it makes sense given the film is about a mans life incarceration, where even showing a woman on screen might be seen as a sort of reprieve for the viewer since the main themes are sort of extreme penance and stoicism.

It's down to 40 now. The Shining wouldn't be a terrible answer with that hint, but I don't understand the answers of Stand by Me and Shawshank knowing it's best actress.

A lot of people won't have seen them or just won't have taken the time to think.

I totally missed the hint. I still may not have gotten it right, but would have had much better chance.
+2

I used to surf and snowboard goofy so that question was a pleasant surprise.

6/10 didn't get 3, 4, 7 and 8. Picked Viagra for q7 thinking a sustained erection was a side-effect.
+2
Level 68

Q7 may have been easier if the UK branding, Regaine, had been used ? - bit more of a clue in the name there

Please fix the spelling for the Rubik's cube, it's embarassing
+3
Level 63
Jan 19, 2026
Misspelling ‘embarrassing’ is also embarrassing.
+2
Level 65
Jan 19, 2026
You got 9 of 10 correct.

No idea about the surfing/snowboarding question.

+3
Level 89
Jan 19, 2026
9/10, fell at the final hurdle because I didn't know what bergamot is, but also got a completely blind guess on the surfing/snowboarding one

Loving the amount of people who thought viagra was used to treat baldness, though 😂

Still an absolute travesty that Shawshank never won any Oscars, as well

+4
Level 66
Jan 19, 2026
Shawshank should absolutely have been awarded...script, acting, plot twists...wonderful movie, similar to Green Mile in a way

Yeah I actually very much prefer King when he's writing that kind of story, as opposed to the horror stories that made him famous

Bergamot is the flavor of Earl Grey tea. I thought surely any Brit would know that (probably a reflection of my ignorant stereotyping more than any shortcoming on your part).
+2
Level 66
Jan 19, 2026
If you are a tea fan (which I am), there is a Harney & Sons 'Victorian London Fog' which I think might be named from the 'London Big Smoke'...anyway, it is Earl Grey related with vanilla & lavender

Level 89

I probably should, to be fair, but I'm something of a disgrace to my country in that the only tea I drink is peppermint (for indigestion) lmao
+3
Level 70
Jan 19, 2026
8/10 never heard of a bergamot and have no clue about snowboarding despite living in snow country.
+3

Goofy just means you have a left-footed lead, surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding...I know it from a California thing
+2
Level 80

Not my best today but with the surf/snowboard question and as someone who did both goofy, that question brought back some great memories. Never in my life have I heard of bergamot.

10/10...had to ponder a bit on Q4, Q10 recalled that bergamot is part of Earl Grey tea, the orangey-part. And it's Rubik's.....

Thank goodness for my predilection for Earl Grey Tea, allowing me to experience the citrus aroma of bergamot.
