Huh. I always thought a keep was the central part of a castle where the important people were extremely well defended.

Isn't that what a fortified tower within a castle is?

I never thought of it as a tower I guess. I was trying to think what more combat oriented corner towers were called. Apparently it’s just “corner tower.”

10/10! Had some lucky guesses there though

9/10 and quite fast for me, in that someone was slower. The American state was a 50/50 and I chose Vermont. Q10 was an educated guess.

I tend to think longer, answer slower

Yes, you and 2 other people who got 9/10 were slower than me. Usually I'm bottom of all who got the same number right. Must have been good questions for me.

I don't know if it is intentional, because it is a wrong answer anyway, but do you mean Terry PrAtchett?

8/10. Didn't know the city with the orange roofs and said limestone instead of quartz, which are two very different things, so I was big time off.

7/10 because of soccer, chemistry, and a city I've never heard of. I feel like I'm losing on Hollywoo Stars and Celebrities What Do They Know Do They Know Things Let's Find Out!

Managed the 10/10, 9,922, saved at the end by having studied Catcher for GCSE English 😂

Originally, Shigeru Miyamoto chose to call him Donkey Kong because he thought the word "donkey" was a synonym for "idiot."

10/10 - 2 lucky guesses (Quartz & Saruman)

A slow 9/10....dithered wrong on Q6. Gave the most plausible (& correct) answer on Q10...except J.D. Salinger did write & publish after 'Catcher in the Rye' (Fanny & Zooey, Raise High the Roof Beam, and more) although none received the notoriety fo Catcher. He was considered reclusive relative to the other authors.

Q8:

Isn't a didgeridoo a musical instrument everywhere or do people outside Australia use it for a different purpose? ;-)

(Hence nitpicking correction: "A didgeridoo is an Australian...")

8/10! Self-doubt in Quartz and Dubrovnik... could've gotten a 10/10. What a shame.
