In Iowa, i've seen pumpkins pretty close to that record at the state fair. Maybe a couple hundred pounds away(which is still a lot, of course, but pretty close nevertheless).

Over 7 feet tall! Holy cow, that's tall! Also, the oldest cat ever lived to be around 38 years old. About 125, people really like growing big pumpkins. If the record has increased by over 400%, those pumpkins (the ones back then setting records) weighed only roughly around 600 pounds, which is still genetically amazing!
