To add context on the #107 quote: Elon Musk has been deemed ‘offensive’ for promoting antisemitic statements, conspiracy theories (about George Soros, the Pelosis, mass shooting evidence, etc.) and expressing opposition to gender-affirming care. He has endorsed anti-vaccination and climate-denialist politicians, discredited journalists and attacked several critics as “pedos” without basis.

That’s without mentioning X’s (formerly Twitter) massive increase in harassment, impersonation, antisemitism, child p*r*graphy, Islamic State propaganda, and misinformation since Musk took over the platform and cracked down on content moderation.

Jetpunk’s ‘Interesting Quotes’ section will sometimes feature Churchill and Thatcher’s funny and in-absolutely-no-way-biased characterization of socialism as well as quotes like this that sound a bit like antisemitic conspiracy-theorist apologia. But you ARE allowed to feel offended by the richest person in the world, despite what this quote suggests.
