Eventually life's stress takes over you. So how do you fight against burnout?

(Video) games and time with my family.

I almost got burnt out of JetPunk in the summer, finish a quiz, make another, make another, repeat. Then I realised, I need something mindless to do, why not play a game or two.

All of the above. I’m honestly dealing with a bit of it too rn. Take care of yourself, first and foremost. Don’t sit there and push yourself and blow through your entire energy reserve, it’s easy to do. Spend some time with the people in your life that bring you happiness, and go easy on yourself for a while. You’re only human.

Some advice I heard that’s helped me a lot with burnout/depression is that life is like a roller coaster/wave pool, with a cycle of highs and lows. When you hit a low, just keep in mind that sooner or later, there’s gonna be another high, and sooner or later, you’ll be here again, at the next low, but there’ll be another high, etc. It’s all just a part of the cycle. And the low points, while sucky, make you appreciate the high points more and force you to slow down/reevaluate.

Hope this helps.

Find a low-stakes creative project you can work on passively. For me, it's an alternate universe with different countries, geography, politics, etc.

I love video games but reading helps a lot more for me. (If I like the book of course)

When life starts feeling horrible, i grab my headphones, put some music on, turn off the lights, turn on those led lights, and start vibing and maybe dancing alone in my room

All that horribleness just turns into pure joy in a couple of seconds
