Got them all. Somalia is tricky (it was about my thirtieth choice for domestic camels...). Anyone has an explanation of why there are so many there?

I think they were originally brought to Aust by Afghan traders. Many escaped and they bred in the wild as the desert country suited them.

Even then we have more tigers in wild than the total tigers in zoos combined in the US

I believe the QI stat was that more tigers are kept as pets in USA than exist in the wild.

I since read that it is about 6,000 pets vs 4,000 wild. No idea if that is true or not, though.

They’re not even zoos. The vast majority of Tigers in the USA are in horrible backyard setups, with little ethical regulation. So the ones in zoos are often lucky.

When it comes to wild mammals in Africa, you should really just consider the DRC, Tanzania, Kenya, Botswana, Zambia and SA.

Informative quiz, ty. I think the size of each population would be interesting to know as well; but maybe that is too complex (some are multiple countries, some are multiple varieties or species)
