Good quiz, thank you. How about "Dodo Bird" for unintelligent person? Could also add "free as a bird," "bird's-eye view," "for the birds," and "kill two birds with one stone."
The "unintelligent person" clue could be improved. In many areas, it's used more to indicate ADD-type personalities, or ditzy/scatterbrained characteristics, rather than simply a lack of intelligence.

Her name was actually Lady? and she married someone with the middle name Bird? What are the odds. If it was her own middle name, yes sometimes parents like to make these "jokes" (don't think the children are ever happy with that..)
During my misspent youth I drank Thunderbird, a cheap wine advertised with the slogan "What's the word? Thunderbird! How's it sold? Good and cold! What's the jive? Bird's alive. What's the prince? Thirty twice." They somehow got James Mason to endorse it, although you can see that he chose his words carefully: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xY7mBQrzXU.
Then, of course, there is the great alto saxophonist Charlie "Yardbird" Parker, who wrote pieces such as "Ornithology." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsAMAIaas94&t=15s. Charlie Mingus, who had played with Bird, had a number of pieces celebrating Parker; my favorite is "Gunslinging Bird (If Charlie Parker Were a Gunslinger, There'd Be a Whole Lot of Dead Copycats)." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-iA2OL6enw&list=RDY-iA2OL6enw&start_radio=1
And while we're on the subject of world-changing artists, there's Louis Armstrong's "Weather Bird." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dv_9B7W7Q0w&list=RDDv_9B7W7Q0w&start_radio=1 Enjoy.
I guess it's not accepted since it is a bird, just doesn't contain it in one word?
(Grasping at straws, but I totally side with you)
