As a Canadian who has lived in several countries around the world, I would note these are significantly less known outside the UK; and in the US specifically, are probably mostly only available in British import stores.

Like, I of course get the frustration that many quizzes seem to be America-centric, but $deity forbid a question be UK-centric.

However I also understand Quizmaster just not wanting to deal with all the complaints that would ensue about nobody ever having heard of McVitie's...

What about 'Mackintosh' Charles (Raincoats) and McAdam John for road building and not forgetting Elijah McCoy was the real McCoy. The inventor held 57 United States patents, mostly related to the railway.
