Africa Cities Map Quiz

28/28 Need to go outside more. Great quiz though!

Funnily enough, Lusaka was the easiest one for me, as my mum was born there

I thought Timbuktu was called Ouagadougou these days, or is it just the capital changed?

100% I thought I knew absolutely nothing about Africa.

100%, got by knowing the countries and capitals (entirely due to Jetpunk) and "inspired" guessing for all the others and leaving Timbuktu until last, having briefly known but forgotten that it is in Mali. Knowing that Lagos used to be the capital led me to pick that as the coastal city, and the new capital as the one inland. And I knew Mombasa was associated with the safari countries of East Africa, so after Dar Es Salaam and Nairobi were filled in I knew what would be left.

I was doing ok until I forgot where Sudan was and incorrectly guessed Khartoum three times in a row. Also most of those west African cities were pretty tough. I know for the most part what country each city is in, but I'm really not that good at pointing things out on a map.

Got them all except for the last two, the hardest ones for me: N'Djamena and Abidjan.

Why Timbuktu and not Bamako, the capital city of Mali?

Timbuktu only have 59.000 inhabitants, while Bamako has 2.71 million.

Was expecting a mean Brazzaville/Kinshasa one.

I thought kinshasa was brazzaville
