It accepts the city name for the last question. Is this something new? Lord knows I've wasted enough time on this site typing in a capital when the state/country was wanted or typing in the state when the capital was wanted.

I'm confused by Northernmost Point, because the answer is the Northernmost in the contiguous states, but then how is Alaska #2 when it is both further north and not a contiguous state?

I think you misunderstood the point of this quiz. Alaska is #1 in all of these categories, but you have to guess the state that is #2 in each of them.

mouse - mice, so house - hice, and spouse - spice.

hippopotamus - hippopotami, so bus - bi.

I love using grammar consistently.

Rainiest state capital is very subjective. By inches Baton Rouge, Louisiana is indeed the "rainiest", but by actual rainy days per year other than in Alaska, its Olympia, Washington.

Interesting that the largest and smallest state are 1 and 2 in lowest value of crop production!
