WALES IS NOT A COUNTRY. It is a part of the United Kingdom which is the country. None of England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland are their own countries.

I think you'll find it is. You try telling and self-respecting Welsh person that Wales isn't a country and you'll be battered :)
