This was really hard because of the lack of type-ins. Also, Sint Maarten is misspelled.

Lack of type ins! What are you talking about? I typed a lot of type ins! I will fix Sint Maarten. But, what type ins are you looking for, I did all the ones I could possibly think of, do you have any in mind?!?!?

It's a good quiz, but the ones I can think of are more options for the antarctic claims, and diego garcia for the British indian ocean territory

Is there any reason Jan Mayen (Norway), Sint Eustatius, Saba, and Bonaire (Netherlands), and also Palmyra Atoll (USA) are not included?

None of those are dependent territories. They are all integral overseas territories, like the overseas departments of France.

Greenland and the Faroes are integral parts of Denmark too, but they are rightly classified here. Some people here put too much stock into arcane legalities.

No they are not. They are separate 'countries' under the crown of Denmark. In the same way Aruba Curacao Sint Maarten and the Netherlands (which includes the Caribbean municipalities of Saba, Sint Eustatius and Bonaire) are the four component countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

Why isn’t Peñón de Vélez de la Gomera on the list?

Thanks.

It is a Spanish exclave, like Ceuta and Melilla, therefore like an integral oversea territory, except not overseas.

I hate to ask so many questions but I find this quiz somewhat fascinating:

Are the Chilean and Argentine Antarctic claims claimed as integral or is there another reason that they did not meet the criteria?

The Argentine Antarctic claim is considered to be a part of the Tierra del Fuego Province, therefore a part of Argentina. It is the same deal as the Chilean Antarctic claim, which is considered to be apart of the Antártica Chilena Province.

I believe the Chilean Antarctic province does not include any land in South America while yes, the Argentinean claim does...

You would have to research it more, I'm not an expert on the topic

I have. The Argentinean Antarctic claim is administered as part of the same province as Tierra del Fuego and their claim to the Falkland Islands (Malvinas), while Chilean Antarctic Territory is a separate territory similar to BAT, Queen Maud, AAT and Ross and should be included
