Britain and France aren't really "former." I guess Mexico has changed a lot.

The type-ins need to be cleaned up a lot.

* Didn't accept "Macedonian"

* Remove "Empire" as a requirement to type in

* Accept "Mongolian"

* Accept "Frankish," "Francia," and "Carolingian"

What he said. Also consider "Empire of Charlemagne" and "Empire of Alexander the Great"

Seconding the requests to accept Frankish and Macedonian empires (and/or not requiring "empire" on most answers).

I think the quiz title is a bit misleading - love the idea of these former empires etc as a quiz - but there are more 'empires' here than single countries. It would be good to see the quiz just about countries that have been broken up or absorbed into others, eg Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Hong Kong!
