I found conflicting information about Russia's Dikson Island so I have left that off for now. And most of Norway's coastal islands are not actually in the Arctic Ocean as defined in the picture. Any others I may have missed?

Thanks for teaching me about this island! Looks like it has less than 200 people on it, so doesn't make the 1000 cutoff, though.

Maniitsoq island has a population of ~2534. you should add it

Maniitsoq is not in the shaded area. The population for Greenland is for the whole country.

OK, good point. I added it based on that comment but didn't check to see if it was in the Arctic Ocean. I'll remove it. Let me know if anyone can find the population for the main island of Greenland.
