Awesome quiz, I was surprised and amazed by the map you created, it looks beautiful! I like the way the flags have cartoonish black lines too, it makes for a neat style.
Very cool quiz, this is one area of my geography game that I need to polish. Not too sore about the ones I missed here except for misspelling Sint Eustatius haha
Why are all the countries and territories in alphabetical order except Jamaica? It really threw me. With a gap there, I was trying to think of a country beginning with B or C.
Basically the light and dark blue parts shown here represent a EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone; the area up to 200 nautical miles from a country's coast where said nation is entitled to extract resources from, managing water resources, etc).
The 2 blue-gray dots represent the disputed EEZs of the Bajo Nuevo and Serranilla Banks, 2 areas of small, uninhabited islets claimed by multiple countries (for both banks, Jamaica and the US both claim it as part of their EEZs; however, Colombia administers the islets and their surrounding EEZs). The US claim is shown in the answer boxes (which show both banks grayed out).
As for the white space (or black space if you're on dark mode), that represents international waters (area beyond the EEZ of any country. It's governed by international law so everyone can explore and extract resources, but managing it is a shared responsibility). The white/black area on the top right is also part of international waters.
Thanks for nominating and playing I guess. Cheers!
Thanks for playing!

How is there this much detail? Granted, this quiz has been done before, but the SVG makes this so much worth it! Congrats on the feature!
