Russell Crowe was an Aussie when he won best actor, and also all the other times he got nominated. However, seconds before he threw a phone at a hotel employee and got arrested, he had reverted back to being a New Zealander.

He's changed nationality a few times since then, but with the exception of "The Nice Guys", he's largely been a New Zealander since..."Noah". Especially in "Love and Thunder". Oh my: especially in that movie.

Yeah, I wasn't really sure whether he would be considered an Aussie or not. I always had. I guess I'd always heard him being referred to as an Aussie and I wanted to be more comprehensive than not when making the quiz.

It is a shame and even hypocritical when someone's disowned after being much loved though.
