The hints for each film consist of the following: the year the film was commercially released; the name(s) of the film’s director(s); an abridged list of the film’s cast; the IMDb summary of the film’s plot (some of which have been edited by the quiz author).

The list of films includes both musicals and animated films.
Some of the film titles are proper nouns.
Excluded: Titles that are acronyms or initialisms (e.g., M*A*S*H, C.H.U.D.) and titles with numeric characters (e.g., Se7en, 300).
