You could get from Poland to Russia directly but then I suppose that you might argue that´s the wrong bit of Russia.

You are supposed to minimize international border crossings. Traveling through the Russian eclave would require you to cross into Lithuania and Belarus and return to Russia, increasing the number of international borders crossed. Thanks for playing!
