*First line is the two groups' names (each name with "and" in between. 1969. This song was performed by two Motown super groups. The male group was the most successful Motown group ever. They were originally known as the Primes. The female group was formed as a sister group to the Primes and called the Primettes. At one time, they were the most successful pop group. Together they had this hit right before the female group split and their lead singer started a very successful solo career.
