Lots of things are considered countries depending on who you ask. I am counting U.N nations, Kosovo, Vatican City, and Taiwan

Now that I think about it, I really should recognize Western Sahara and maybe Palestine, but I don't and I'm not sure why?

Western Sahara should have been a country, but then Morocco didn't let it even though it was supposed to(I think this is accurate), so it doesn't meet the qualifications. Palestine has a half decent argument though, but not nearly as much as Kosovo or Taiwan. I think Palestine could go either way, I think that bill wurtz sums it up best: "Now the Ottoman Empire's gone so we can ♬ give the Jewish people a place to live ♬(hopefully the Arabs don't mind)."

Holland is a former province (equivalent to a US state) within the country of the Netherlands. And, I beg to differ, but Aruba IS a country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
