I'm American and I (apparently) spell a lot of these words the British way.

Dialogue

Axe

Disc

and I can never remember how to spell Licence/License.

In American english license and licence mean the same thing (apparently), but in UK english -ce is the noun, -se is the verb

Axe is spelled axe in American too, never seen anyone spell axe like “ax”. And most of those words, such as disc can be spelled both disc and disk in American English. So idk why they’re in the quiz.

As a Canadian, I have felt great discomfort because of some of these. Like, jewellery/jewelry makes me feel weird because I saw jewellery much more when I was younger but now a couple decades later, it’s only jewelry. Disc/disk is similar.
