Head of the Organization Department of the Chinese Communist Party

This does not include anyone who held this position from 1921 to 1944. During the Cultural Revolution from 1966 until 1975, the functions of the Organization Department were superseded by the Organization Department Working Group and from 1970, the Central Organization and Propaganda Leading Group. As the latter group had jurisdiction over the Organization Department, its head is included here as the de-facto leader
