Great quiz, but do you have a source for this? I imagine for some states it might be pretty close--for example, UP is such a big and populous state, I wouldn't be surprised if parts of it were more rice than wheat.

Thanks! Yes, there is a source, the incredible Indian in Pixels. I conveniently used his map about it, but it is sourced from Indian government info, and he has left the formula in the corner of the map, so luckily it isn't made up data :D

I think that would make sense, eastern UP is Bhojpuri speaking, and as someone with an interest in linguistics, I know it is similar to Eastern India by having a Bihari language. So eating rice would also be a logical similarity to Bihar and Bengal.
