Good try but I would add more names like Ang Lee, Andrei Tarkovsky, Agnès Varda, Akira Kurosawa, Fellini, Bong Joon‑ho and so on.

Yeah some of those names would be much lower guessed like I wouldn't expect most people to get Tarkovsky or Varda but if I make a sequel I'd add Kurosawa, Fellini, Leone, etc.

what's the problem with including some names that only some people will get? a quiz is only fun if some of the questions are challenging

Don't wanna make it too esoteric, I'd rather keep this one accessible for anyone. I could make a more niche one later. But just because I didn't include some names in this quiz doesn't mean I wouldn't include them in a future one
