For East Germany I took the number of Olympic medals in the Summer and Winter (409, 110) and divided that by its 1990 population divided by 1,000,000 (m / (16,028,000 / 1,000,000). I wanted to clear this up because for all other countries (which currently exist), population data for 2026 (per UN estimates) was used.
