6/10, I like these quizzes suprisingly more than I normally do Multiple Choice ones.

It's like DTCs but for cities.

Nice! Question 5 choices should exclude "the" at the start, i.e. "Scandavia's largest gold mine", "Europe's largest mall"

Fixed, thanks.

Glad you liked it! That's the city I'm living in this year.

Got one wrong - guessed Djurgarden because I recognised the football team from this year’s Europa Conference. Nice quiz, although how there’s no mention of vikings or Gustavus Adolphus…

Well, in a quiz about Vasteras or Sweden in general, I would have added a question about vikings with pleasure. But in a quiz about Stockholm, I don't really think that it's a must-have. The question would probably not have really focused on the city, so not really interesting.

The quiz originally had a question about Charles XIV John, another iconic Swedish King, but QM decided to remove it.

Stockholm was founded in the 13th century, there weren't many vikings around by then. And Gustav II Adolf is more famous for the things he did outside of Sweden

I've noticed with names ending with ...son/...sen, it seems Swedish names end with "son" whereas Danish (and maybe even Norwegian) names end with "sen". Not sure if this pattern is absolute, but I used it to get #5.

Yeah, in Sweden/Iceland we use -son and in Denmark/Norway -sen.

Although I have been to Stockholm, I had no idea about question 7. Got it right by eliminating less probable answers.

Question 6 was a pure guess, too.

Btw. the Vasa museum is really amazing and absolutely worth visiting, even if you have only a day or two in the city!

Yeah, it's part of the "must-visit" pf the city. During the year I spent in Stockholm, I've met too many tourists saying that "it's just another museum" and not visiting the Vasamuseet. But it's not! That's really something you couldn't see elsewhere. Actually, every tourist going to Stockholm should spend at least half a day on Djurgarden, to see the Vasa, Visit the Skansen and eventually Nordiskamuseet (the ABBA museum is not really worth it imho but if you are a fan, of course give it a try) and enjoy the rest of the island, which is also beautiful but a lot less touristic.
