Ok Poland it's too better next season to next o next and next club Jagiellonia 2024/25 conference league - 2025/26 also 2026/27 (five clubs 94%) Europa league :)
Thanks very much, lele20 (both for playing and for the information about Wolfsberg)! The automated type-ins for both clubs caused the overlap, but I've corrected it, so "Wolfsberg" shouldn't be an accepted answer for "Wolfsburg" and vice-versa
You can get way too many by typing in random cities. Sure, some teams are best known by their city name but I got LASK, RB Salzburg and Sturm Graz by just typing all major Austrian cities I knew.
Congratulations for having such a strong knowledge of Austrian cities, but I don’t really see what point your trying to make.
Most cities across Europe (and, indeed, across the world) have major football clubs, most of which are either literally named after the city or are more commonly referred to by the city name for short.
Genuine question, but other than expecting everyone to type in “FC Barcelona”, “Olympique Lyonnais” and “Tottenham Hotspur” (just in case your knowledge of London is even as half as good as your knowledge of Austria is), what is your workaround?
Great quiz. Only a little disappointed that to guess Legia I had to include "Warsaw" specifically. Just "Legia" or adding "Legia Warszawa" as a type in would be just right :))
I’m going to wait. I like Forest so I’ll be pleased for them if they do stay in the Europa League, but, come on, it’s a joke decision.
Or, specifically, a joke rule. I swear, they’d be better off if they just said that owners can only own one UEFA club - that would eliminate this perennial ridiculousness
you should accept Lokeren. Lokeren-Temse was the name of the merger club formed in 2020, so not only is it inaccurate, but the club also took out the Temse this year.
You’ve listed KSC Lokeren-Temse, but that club never played in Europe. The correct team should be K.S.C. Lokeren Oost-Vlaanderen, which did participate in UEFA competitions. Lokeren-Temse is a new entity formed in 2020 after a merger, so it doesn’t belong in this quiz.
I’ve changed it to the correct name and submitted it for reapproval, but the only issue is it’s going to cause a reset again. Unless there’s any way of resubmitting without the stats resetting? @QM
This seems to be the case with several cities here - the English spelling works but not the native spelling (I noticed Wien/Vienna, Lisboa/Lisbon, and Petrograd/ St. Petersburg
Could still use more consistency with acceptable type-ins. I know it’s tricky with other teams sharing similar names, but I think it could be even tighter.
All teams from the same city which share the city name in their title should require both parts of the name (some now only need the city, but why THAT particular team?)
Where only one team from a city is included, the city name SHOULD be accepted (currently only so on some answers)
Please accept WAC for Wolfsberg (that's what the club is usually referred to) and remove the Wolfsburg-Wolfsberg overlap (one fills out the other).
As well, accepted should be "Shakhtar Karaganda", or just that form of the name of the city or something
Doing a quick bit of research, it seems that Gabala has a variety of variations, so I've added all of those in!
Thanks for that and thanks for playing!
"A total of 222 teams have featured in the UEFA **Champions League** Group Stage or beyond"

But if you want a fake answer…
Swans hate whales! Why would Swanseam clearly named after swans, play in a territory named after their mortal enemy?

Good work though, I like a tricky quiz…
Yes, the “04” is necessary since that’s in the club name.
And “Bayer” by itself shouldn’t be included; I’ve never ever heard the club called that.
