"Real" names do not have to be full names. As long as all parts of the professional name are taken from their given name, it's "real." (For example, if the artist goes by a single name, if it's their real first, last, or middle name, it's "real.")
Common nicknames for a formal real name (e.g. Bob for Robert) count as "real", as do minor spelling variations (e.g. Catherine/Katherine)
If the musician is or was best known as part of a band, the band's name is in parentheses
To avoid confusion, there are no half-and-halves (professional names that contain both original and adopted names)
