Drag the countries onto the correct circle on the Venn diagram. If it doesn't match any of the circles, place it on the "none" circle. Careful! Three strikes and you're out!
English countries based on Wikipedia list. Includes when English is official language and/or is used by the people, government, business, and/or education.
Evil aliens have decided to kill everyone on Earth! Fortunately, they've given you two minutes to save as many as you can. All you have to do is name a country to save everyone in it.
Today I learnt Yemen was mostly independent in 1930. Thank you Dimby. However, I would argue Canada was not sovereign in 1930. I realise it's not so clear as 1867, 1931 and 1982 could all be seen as the year Canada gained full sovereignty, but I would disagree with saying Canada was sovereign after 1867.
Hmm. That Wikipedia says it's "official" but not a primary language people typically use. Same for India. I'd say English isn't typically used by Indian or Pakistani people day-to-day.

English is used in the government, sometimes (rarely) by the people, is an official language, is used for business, and education. You should add Pakistan as using English.
Best quiz I've played in months. I would love to do more of these (time-pressure is quite big but I think it works here). It might even be possible to create many categories and have them be random every time, but I'm not sure how that would be implemented. Anyways, great quiz, obviously nominated.
I love the concept, but it's a little too vague. Sovereignty is an iffy subject for a few countries, and "English is a primary language" doesn't seem to be quite right, especially given that several countries are categorized as none or otherwise despite the fact that English is official there (Marshall Islands and Tuvalu were the ones I noticed, but I think there are others). I think it would do better just to put "English is an official language" or something to that effect.
Still is a great idea, but it could definitely be refined a bit.
