If 2.8% of Israelis speak Romanian, and that equals over 200,000 people, that would mean Israel has a population of about 60 million people -- it does not.

I think they count Moldovans as a Romanian-speaking people. Thanks to the USSR past, we have many Moldovans in Russia, so that's the reason

How about the numbers for Germany? If 0.2% of German population are 300k Romanians, then 1% is 1.5 million and 100% of German population is 150 million people, which is wrong…

It will have been rounded to the first decimal place. The actual percentage will be somewhere between 0.1 and 0.2%

And I was trying to figure out which country with population of around 150m people could have been a destination for Romanian immigrants. :D

Those numbers were very misleading.
