I like how most of these answer lists are "the usual suspects" as far as JetPunk city-related quizzes go, but then you get to "Largest Stadium" and . . .
The funny thing is, that one is a category that the Quizmaster added when he featured this quiz, so I genuinely don't know whether "Athens" refers to Greece or Georgia. XD
As a Melbournian was stoked to see that question. Knew it would be mostly college towns and pyongyang but was stoked to write the city that is home to the G. Watched many a game of footy there!
Fair enough, from what I can tell, the Chinese called it Beijing at the time (or, to be more accurate, "北京") but in the west it was called Peking, so I think that's reasonable, thanks for the suggestion!
I still have no idea what "the Commonwealth of Nations" is, despite seeing it on like 50 quizzes. I thought it was countries that are technically under the dominion of the Queen of England, but now I see Bangladesh involved and I have no idea what is going on.
It's an organization, mostly consisting of the UK and its former colonies - it used to be only those, but Mozambique (a former Portuguese colony) joined in 1995, and Togo and Gabon (former French colonies) earlier this year.
@Jmellor: Sorry that the answers here are so snarky, but to answer your question, there are no hard and fast rules to belong to the Commonwealth other than a desire to have ties to the Anglosphere. That's why it's mostly former colonies but with some exceptions in either way. For example, the US has always dissociated itself from the British Empire and thus is not interested. In contrast, countries like Rwanda aren't part of the Anglosphere historically but are actively seeking better ties with the UK for political and economic reasons. As for Bangladesh, even though the country didn't directly declare independence from the UK, British influence from the days of the Raj is still strong, much as it is in India (India is also not under the Crown for the record). So, basically to wrap up my long-winded answer, any country can join, as long as they have (or want to have) ties to the UK.
As the others have mentioned, there is the Commonwealth of Nations which is just an organization of countries that have close ties to the UK/English world. But, you are thinking of Commonwealth Realms, which are the countries whose head of state is the Queen. The Commonwealth Realms include the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, and a few others.
Hong Kong only beats London in "Most international tourists" because they count mainland Chinese as "international", but they shouldn't.
Since 1997 HK is part of China, and after the passing of the National Security Law in 2020 the city became almost as any other regular city in the PRC, maybe even more repressive.
I was using the Jetpunk largest world cities quiz, and that quiz does use citypopulation.de, but using 2021 data, not the new 2022 data. Just to keep stuff consistent, I'm not going to update it yet until that quiz is updated, but I'll tell the QM about it.

1. Los Angeles (13,000,000)
2. Lagos (12,550,000)
3. Lahore (11,120,000)
4. Lima (10,800,000)
5. London (10,735,000)
This quiz was apparently updated very recently as well.

I've amended the quiz to specify urban area.
