Everybody guesses the USA but the American rate of infection is miniscule. It only makes the list as the highest rate among 3 countries. (itself, Canada, and Mexico) Only the Middle East has a lower overall infection rate and I'm guessing that's as much a matter of underreporting as anything else.

No It's just that the middle east is muslim, which is why most muslim countries dont make this list.

I agree with these two suggestions; also, if Russia counts as a developed country, so should Ukraine I think. Not sure how this is defined, but their HDI is almost the same.
