Translate Countries into German Tutorial

Many countries share almost the same name in English and German due to the close relation of both languages. By following some simple rules you can quickly learn how say countries in German. In this quiz I will give you a nation and you need to guess its German name with a hopefully very helpful hint. I will guide you to everything step to step.
You will need the exact spelling of the word
Just the simple country names, nothing like France-Frankreich, Germany-Deutschland etc.
Of course it doesn’t work everywhere, our language is too complicated for that, I‘m sorry ;-)

Also one thing, but which doesn’t really follow a rule are the E’s and I’s. Mauritania is Mauretanien with an E and Lebanon is Libanon with a I for some reason, like Morocco its just something our ancestors thought and made to sound better
