Nearly didn’t get it. I never knew it was a silent h until this quiz, but it was the only country it could have been based on the alphabetical order of the other answers!

OK all added. Also added the continent to make it easier. To be honest I didn't know that the H in Lesotho was silent and I had always pronounced it wrongly :p

Isn't the H in loch considered silent?

No, in this usage it results in a sound that starts with a very short c/k but then extends with a sort of dry gurgle/rasp. A sound that any Star Trek fan will hear a lot in Klingon.

I too would pronounce Liechtenstein with that sound rather than lick-ten-stein, but that may just be a Scottish/Irish influence that is unique to the British Isles (and also possibly incorrect).

Amazing quiz i really enjoyed it! i typed czechia and it wasn't accepted, perhaps you could add that as an answer along side czech republic? but if my answer was incorrect then don't worry about it :)

Thanks. I haven’t updated this quiz for 6 years. Czechia is now accepted.

Czechia and Liechtenstein shouldn't be part of this ('ch'). And nor should Bahrain (Bach-reign).
