Some of the "worst" countries and some of the "best" countries. So it's not a question of the number of guns, but question of the people who use those.

The US has 2x guns per capita vs Switzerland. Add American poverty vs. extreme wealth & underfunded institutions to the mix = we've got the perfect conditions for avoidable crime and murder
