Oh please, require a bit more than just "Dar". Annoying when I am looking at Darwin and then it suddenly steals my answer and I have to restart.

Site standard has been just Dar across all quizzes, so it would be more confusing if this was changed.

Dusseldorf could be potentially confusing. Both Dortmund and Duisburg could easily be the same dot on a world map.

Just zoom in

If zoomed in it would be more fitting to have Duisburg as an answer since the center of the circle is closer to it then to Düsseldorf.

Are you suggesting that all of the cities on this map are famous? I don't think that's the criteria for inclusion here.

It is the birthplace of Bill Bryson. That's how I learned it - by reading some of his books.

I also knew it from Bill Bryson. Though I mustn't have heard it spoken until very recently because I pronounced it like it would be in French.

It also has an important role in the US elections, as they are the first place to vote or something like that. (not really sure, am not from the US, please correct me if I'm wrong)

Delhi is a district. New Delhi is India's capital city that lies within the district of Delhi. Therefore, strictly speaking –– and aren't we all on this site in favor of technicalities –– New Delhi should not be on this quiz, instead appear in a "Cities Beginning with 'N'" quiz.

New Delhi isn't on this quiz, Delhi is. Wikipedia defines Delhi as "a city and a union territory of India," so I think it's safe to call it a city.

Düsseldorf is the correct spelling, not Dusseldorf. Alternatively you could also use Duesseldorf, but not Dusseldorf.

It really should be displayed as Düsseldorf though. But jetpunk answers that the quiztakers give do not require diacretics (or capital letters) so dusseldorf is fine as an accepted answer.

As for what is on your keyboard, are you saying you don't have the " on your keyboard? I just checked and it seems like the US does have it standard on the keyboard as well (in the same place, left of the Enter key)

I live in the US so I got it, but putting Des Moines seems a bit harsh on a world cities quiz. Then again of the 10 I've missed I think I've heard of one before so go figure.
