I expected Gitega and Gent would have made a nice addition, and who does not know Groningen* ;)
Personally I would not have thought of it, but just checked for other options just now after my own ideas were depleted, Grenoble is somewhat well known. And then there is Gloucester and Gouda
* (did not honestly think of having that one there, just a bit of self-promotion, though outside of the randstad it is the 2nd largest city in the Netherlands. And apparently the netherlands is basically one big city according to some quizzes/sources jetpunk likes to use.)
Sure, this quiz is taken by veterans who search for it. But featured quizzes have to be accessible to a larger audience—the average person would not get more than 2 on here.
Because at the end of the day, this website is the QM's business. And as a trivia writer myself, if the questions are too hard, nobody wants to play, if nobody wants to play, the site loses clicks, and if that happens it loses advertisers. Simple capitalism.
At dollyfroggy you have a point. Though what people score does not really matter, if they already decided to take the quiz.
And I think a lot of people like series. So if they did a quiz they liked, they are likely to do the rest in the serie, whether those are more difficult or not.
As for the H quiz, I would suggest to limit it to 20 answers. The only problem is there would only be one left in Asia but it's the biggest metro area in the world ;).
Seconded. I got 14/25, so I missed some not too obscure ones too, but cutting those that have less than 10% (5 least guessed) wouldn't really be too bad.
What about swapping Gwangju (6%) and Guiyang (5%) for other well known G cities in SK/CH? Guilin in China and Gyeongju in SK are both very popular tourist cities and might be better known world wide.
Either way thanks for these series of quizzes, really enjoying them.
Guiyang's a big city with more than 5m people. It's unfamous only because it's in China.Gwangju is also important in Korea. Opposite I think those small cities in US should be excluded.
Why don't you reduce the number of answers to 20 and add Ghent in replace of Greensboro or another lesser known US city? Maybe then we can get this featured.
Tough quiz, even for nerds. I got Green Bay and guessed (wrongly) Gary, Indiana. Only got one of the three US cities and one of the five Asian cities. Nominated.
As a Pakistani-American I have never heard of Gujranwala. I had to look it up because I couldn't let myself miss something from Pakistan smh. Kept trying Gilgit. Difficulty level hard indeed
