My Jetpunk Journey So Far

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a bit about how I got into the JetPunk community. As a geography nerd, I was looking for a quiz on countries of the world — and that’s how I found JetPunk.

I started in the fall of 2022. Since then, life has gotten busy sometimes, so I’ve had to take breaks from JetPunk for weeks or even months. But I always come back!

At first, my quizzes didn’t get much attention. I wasn’t making them regularly, and maybe the ideas weren’t as exciting. But starting in 2025, I really got into making quizzes consistently. Maybe you’ve seen my If Flags Were… series?

One of my favorite moments was on May 8, 2025, when I made the quiz Australia States and Territories by Abbreviation. This was the first time I really invested time in creating an SVG-based quiz myself. Shortly after, it got featured, and that was a huge motivation for my journey on Jetpunk.

A Major Announcement

For those of you who have been following my quizzes, you probably know that I’ve been using the message board to advertise most of my new quizzes. However, I’ve realized a few things:

1. Advertising on the message board isn’t very effective. It does have some impact, but often not enough to make a huge difference.

2. Not all of my quizzes are great, so it might be better to let the community discover and play the most appealing ones naturally, without me pushing them too much.

3. I recently learned how to use the JetPunk chart to track my quiz takes, so now I can keep better records of how my quizzes are doing.

For these reasons, I will no longer be using the message board to promote my quizzes.

Thanks for reading this blog! 😀

Well done on your first blog, but please don't just promote your quizzes on here, unless you've completed a series or something monumental, that's what the message board is for. By all means add a line at the end of a blog to advertise a quiz, sort of like a "by the way".

Other than that, I look forward to your next blog, and welcome to the RUB!
