Total Drama JetPunk - Exposition
I am recounting the events that have taken place so far over the duration of the Total Drama JetPunk competition series. In this series, 22 contestants participated to in dramatic challenges to see who would go all the way to be declared Total Drama JetPunk winner. These events are a firsthand, true, detailed narrative from one of the participants.
The Sign Ups
The host of our competition, Capybarra, on August 11, 2025, released a blog on the website JetPunk, prompting the various users of the website to consider participation in this series. Though it seems like something I would not have much time for with the Fall semester beginning soon, I decide to participate in an attempt to connect myself with the people of JetPunk, further investing myself into the community that I hold dear to my heart. Enrolling myself, I commented, a few short hours later, "What the heck, I’ve been wanting to engage myself more with the community here, so I’ll do it." I notice that a newer "JetPunker" friend of mine also chooses to participate, prompting me to reply "Put Bauty on my team if possible! 😅" to his comment. Capybarra assigns me to the "Killer Bass", along with my friend Bauty, as opposed to the rival team "Screaming Gophers." After 22 users have expressed their desire to participate, the following team divisions are formed:
KILLER BASS:
SonyVondern, InfiniteBulk, ItzIngenious, KiloNova, cathlete, JetPunker180, Tayger, Aragorn, Trompete79, BautyArg, Xtrordinary
SCREAMING GOPHERS:
MeMeMe333, LuckyCat, Pontiac, HubertThePhoenix, Nickelz, thegoatisgoaty, DrewFan, Amphi64, bantqq1, Insaniot, SirPhilippines
Episodes 1 - 2
By August 13, the first challenge of Total Drama JetPunk is announced. Whichever team loses the challenge will have to vote off one of its own team members. The challenge consists of replying "jump" to a comment made by Capybarra, with the first team to have 9 of 11 members jump receiving individual clues about a country to put together and solve. As it turns out DrewFan and LuckyCat jump before anyone on my team, with SonyVondern jumping for us first. Tayger and I are the next Bass to jump. We end up narrowly getting 9 members to jump before the Gophers, however Bauty quickly makes a guess immediately, unaware that he should wait to hear the other members' clues. We manage to narrow it down to 3 island nations, and InfiniteBulk correctly guesses Solomon Islands. We were all working together really well to narrow down the options based on population and geographic location! Somehow we even were able to guess before the Gophers even made a single guess. In the voting round, the Gophers decide to eliminate SirPhilippines (4 votes) since he did not reply "jump" and wasn't very active in helping the Gophers complete the challenge. Surprisingly, MeMeMe gets 3 votes even though he was the fourth to jump. Amphi64 receives 2 votes, and Nickelz and HubertThePhoenix each got a vote.
Capybarra then announces the first of many "twists" in the game: there are advantages hidden in comment sections of his blogs, quizzes, and charts. This differs from the Total Drama Island television series from which he took inspiration for these games.
The next episode is then announced in which one player, bantqq1, is announced as having dropped out of the competition. The second challenge consists of having 9 members from each team split up into five boxes. The team that has more boxes with a majority of their members in it wins!! We Bass all put our heads together to determine the best mathematical odds of winning, and decide to split up 3-3-2-1-0. ItzIngenious, Xtrordinary, and Kilo are met with MeMeMe, Pontiac, and Lucky in Box 1. Tayger is the lone person to take Box 2. Trompete, Sony, and I are met with HubertThePhoenix and thegoatisgoaty in Box 3. Insaniot is the lone person for Box 5. So then Box 4 has BautyArg and JetPunker180 met by DrewFan and Amphi64. That means two boxes are won by the Bass, and one box by the Gophers. We win again! Because Nickelz didn't end up participating in the challenge, he garners 6 of the 9 votes, being the third player to be eliminated.
Episodes 3 - 4
The third challenge, Hunters and Deer, gets very competitive. Four members of each team must hide in Capybarra's comments, and four different members must hunt. Bauty, a hunter, decides to make fake deer locations throughout comment sections to throw off Gopher Hunters into believing he might be a deer. I was initially told to sit out, but due to one hunter's inactivity, I was permitted to take his place. In the end, it didn't matter and Bauty's efforts were in vain. The Gophers found our four deer (KiloNova, SonyVondern, ItzIngenious, InfiniteBulk). This is where drama ensues amongst the Bass. It's our first challenge without immunity, and we didn't want to vote someone off. Because Bauty was being extra competitive, he ended up pointing fingers and creating enemies amongst his own teammates. This large target on Bauty's back meant he would likely be voted out. Making himself an even larger target, he chooses to switch KiloNova onto the Gophers and thegoatisgoaty onto the Bass using his team switch advantage without consulting anyone, something Bass were not happy with. Moreover, a mystery Bass team member decides to use a voteblock advantage on Bauty, meaning he can't vote. KiloNova had used his vote view advantage to see if he was in danger (though it didn't ultimately matter since he got moved to the Gophers). Since I had attained an idol that was hidden in Capy's comments, I devised a plan wherein we all vote for Bauty, but I apply the idol to him, meaning there's a tie amongst all users at 0 votes. So the 7 votes for Bauty get nullified. Somehow KiloNova gets 2 votes for KiloNova, but they don't count since he's no longer a Bass. But in the end JetPunker180 is voted off with a shocking single vote. My plan to save all the Bass is foiled...
But not everything is lost, as KiloNova is still a part of our team, and prescribed to spy on the Gophers for us! In episode 4, there's a trivia challenge where eight players from each team are asked a question, and the first to correctly answer gets a point for his/her team. MeMeMe, Pontiac, DrewFan, and KiloNova get their questions right for the Gophers. And ItzIngenious, Xtrordinary, and I get their questions right for the Bass. However, HubertThePhoenix gets a question wrong, deducting a point from the Gophers. However, since the previously eliminated player chose to get a chance to re-enter the games, he was able to curse a team. He cursed the Gophers, meaning that we won! LuckyCat, Amphi64, and Insaniot all end up with 2 votes, so a tiebreaker is held wherein Amphi64 is voted out, partially because one user used an extra vote advantage, getting to vote twice.
Episodes 5 - 7
In episode 5, each team sends team members to stations in order to collect clues. In the end, we collected our clues and managed to acquire 12 of the 14 letters and guessed the word accomplishment before the gophers got even 6 letters. This forced the Gophers to have to vote off a player: DrewFan. DrewFan was eliminated since LuckyCat, who also had 2 votes, used a hidden idol.
The next challenge featured a quiz wherein the team with the highest score won. ItzIngenious came up with the idea to share his answers before taking the quiz since answers aren't allowed to be shared after. Since he got a score of 12/15, we knew that 12 answers were correct. I determined which question of his was wrong, scoring 13/15. I also shared my answers, meaning everyone that was left could just copy my answers and get 13/15! However, other members of our team chose to not consider our answers. Maybe they didn't see them? The Bass had an overall score of 9.9, lower than the Gophers' 10.83, so we had to eliminate someone. Trompete got 4 votes and was eliminated because he had the lowest score of 6/15. However, by this point, SonyVondern had decided to drop out of the games also. So two players were eliminated before episode 7.
The next challenge saw both teams being forced to eliminate. We needed to fill out a form about who we thought had the most advantages, was in alliances, etc. Somehow, I got the highest score on my team (even across both teams) by making deductions about what I knew about each player. This meant I had immunity. MeMeMe on the other hand had the highest score amongst Gophers, awarding him immunity too. In the end, after much drama and requests to vote out Tayger instead of Bauty, Tayger was eliminated. The Gophers lost Hubert.
Episodes 8 - 10
Split or Steal, the eighth challenge, involved pairing players from opposing teams. Each player would choose to split or steal. If both players, steal, no one gets a point. If only one player steals, he gets two points, and if both players split, they both get a point. But because the Bass were cursed, starting with a score of -3. This meant that if all Gophers stole, it was impossible for the Bass to win. They managed to realize this, with only Kilo, our spy, splitting. So we had to vote off Aragorn, due to being very inactive in the games and in our team planning lately.
The next challenge was the last before teams were abolished and merged into one. Also, at the merge, two of the eliminated players wishing to rejoin would rejoin. In this challenge, each player picked a number between 1 and 5. The player with the biggest number would win a point, unless they only had a number bigger than their opponent by exactly 1. If they tied, both teams get a point. However, the Gopher's curse was that tiebreakers made them lose a point. Thus we had an easy win, especially with Kilo, our spy, telling us his number. In the end, Kilo lied about his number, making both teams tie. And because of the tie, the tiebreaker resulted in the curse being lifted, and hence we lost. In the voting, ItzIngenious told us all to vote for him, and so we did. He did so because he believed he could win the rejoin challenge, and rejoin the game. He ended up being correct! He and Nickelz both won the rejoin challenge, and so we all merged into one team of 12 players.
POST MERGE
Episodes 10 - 11
It's now September 12. Drama has certainly ensued up to this point. Now we are all in one team together, but will we play as a team or will everyone that was former on the same team just stick together? KiloNova, in an attempt to build ruptured relationships and alliances, wanted to rebuild what was damaged from the Bass since he had backstabbed them by lying about the number he would put, which ultimately cost the Bass the win. More drama was ensuing as members tried to build bonds with those who weren't formerly teammates, especially Nickelz who had been voted out early on in episode 2.
In this challenge, we all were asked to fill out a form based on beliefs we had about other players' strengths and weaknesses. A few allies of mine and I shared our submissions with one another, which meant that when I had to guess to Capy who the most guessed contestants were for each question, I had a very high chance of correctly guessing who was answered. In the end, I got the highest score, winning invincibility. In this round, who voted for who was revealed via "confessions", just like in the original Total Drama Island television series. Insaniot ended up getting the most votes since the band of ex-Bass decided to work together to eliminate an ex-Gopher that they believed did not have an idol.
In the next challenge, contestants had the change to "buy" advantages with the $500 they were given to split amongst products. BautyArg purchased the invincibility, being safe that round. This meant we couldn't vote for him and that several, specifically 7, new advantages were added to the mix. The voting ended up being very crazy, with two advantages being played. There was a tie since Pontiac, a target that round, played an idol on himself between thegoatisgoaty and Xtrordinary. However, since these two players had super idols, which they didn't need to play, they didn't get voted out. So a random spinning wheel had to pick between those with 0 votes, ultimately choosing ItzIngenious. So ItzIngenious was eliminated strickly by chance!!
Episodes 12 - 13
In this challenge, Capy hid a comment with each player's name on it under a quiz/blog/chart of his. Each player could claim theirs and even block someone else's if they chose. As it turns out, they were all hidden in the same location, and no one blocked. However, since I had a very busy night, I didn't open the blog about the challenge until after 5 contestants had found their spot, which meant I didn't get immunity. And so the others who didn't get immunity, Bauty, Infinite, and Xtrordinary, chose to vote against the other un-immune user: Pontiac, since he was the only non-immune contestant that wasn't formerly on Team Bass.
Challenge 13 saw a twist: whoever got last place in the challenge would be eliminated. Nickelz was given safety, and he then chose who would be safe, who then chose who would be safe, and so on. In the end, Xtrordinary was the last one chosen because all of the ex-Gophers chose each other first, leaving the ex-Bass to sadly have to say goodbye to one of their own yet again.
This brings us up to date with Episode 14, in which each contestant must re-count the happenings of the show thus far. This is why I have chosen to write and tell of these events, all of which are true, in hopes of having a good story and not once again being eliminated.
I think I got three votes because no one knew who to vote. People (included me) were bored and tried to vote the person with the least quiz takes, I think.
Also, the Gophers were worried that the Bass wouldn't give TGIG immunity, so we got our final immune member, Kilo, to give it to him.
Btw, you didn't mention Insaniot and his elimination? I guess it was slightly anti-climatic...
"So a random spinning wheel had to pick between those with 0 votes, ultimately choosing ItzIngenious. So ItzIngenious was eliminated strickly by chance!!"
Insaniot was the first post-merge elimiatee (is that a word?)\
Edit: Wait. I think I'm blind. You mentioned him. Sorry.
