So the alphabet

Ok the alphabet has a few differences from the English but not too many.

There is no j, instead the g is the d3 sound( I dont know how to type in IPA ) but like the sound in Jelly( or Jello if you're American ).

The H is pronounced  Like the J in Spanish or like the Xh in the International  Phonetical Alphabet ( IPA ).

Theres also no q, c makes the qw sound

Give you a rundown of how letters are pronounced.

A- Pronounced like in cAp.

B- Pronounced like in Bring

C- Pronounced like oCtagon

D- Pronounced like in Done

E- Pronounced like in sEll

F- Pronounced like in Fail

G- Pronounced like in Jewel

H- Pronounced like in Jalapenos( Hala- penyos pronunciation )

I- Pronounced like nEEd

K- Pronounced like in caKe

L- Pronounced like in Flower

M- Pronounced like in Make

N- Pronounced like RuNNing

O- Pronounced like in sOck

P- Pronounced like well the p in pronounced I guess.

R- Pronounced similar to how Americans say butter when pronounced quickly.

S- Pronounced like in aSk

T- Pronounced like in Tail

U- Pronounced like in soUp

V- Pronounced like in oVal

W- Pronounced like in sWear

X- Pronounced like in aXe

Y- Pronounced like in Pico de Gallo( Spanish pronunciation )

Z- Pronounced like in Zone

That isn't every sound in the language but that would take me a while to do, so this covers the basics.

Verbs

Ah.. verbs. For anyone, that has somehow forgotten the meaning, they're basically like doing or being words.

Now the conjugation system is usually as follows

The verb Fazer( to do ): This originally comes from portuguese

Remove last 2 letters( except if its in I form.)

Faz

Now add these endings:

You-an

He/She- a

We-anos

You(pl or dl)- ani

They- on

So You( singular ) do is Tu fazan

Also pl and dl stand for plural and dual form( because yes I added it to my language)

But there is an exception in verbs ending in a

Egia( to come ) Borrowed from the Maltese word egia.

So the word egia isn't removed becaused it has only four letters, which isn't very common btw

You is egian

He/she Egiar
We- Egianos

You(pl ) Egiani

They- egiason

For the they form, we dont put a and o between each others so an s has to be inserted in between.

Egia is especially unlucky, as the verb gives 2 exceptions to the rule.

Now, you might be asking, why in Tu fazan, I'm conjugating the verb whilst still keeping the pronoun.

It's because of a scenario in which you can't understand everything that their saying but if you hear either tu or fazan you know their talking about you and not someone else. So although it may seem redundant it also has some useful uses.

You may also ask about tenses and there is past present and future but you don't conjugate or use different pronouns. You instead use pre or pro to indicate present or future. I figured this was easier than having to work out 21 conjugations. So tu fazer. You do and Tu pre fazer you did are different. it adds some uniqueness to it. Also, you add er after the verb  for perfect and ar for progressive.

Pronouns

An essential part of language.

So lets begin

Before I tell you the pronouns, I want to clarify a few things. Firstly, pronouns differ from first, second and third person and the same is with Panamericana. English has 3 cases but Panamericana only has 2, passive and active. It also differs pronouns by singular and plural and its the same but we also have the dual form. For when there's exactly 2 of the something. This means 18 pronouns  but similar to English, Panamericana has social gender if its in third person singular.

Me( first person, singular, active ). Mi(First person, singular, passive ). Mer( First person, dual, active ) Mir ( first person, dual, passive ) Mes( First person, plural, active ) Mis( First Person, plural, passive) Tu( Second Person, Singular, Active ) To,(Second person, Singular, Passive ) Tui( not to be confused with airline ) ( Second Person, Dual, Active ) Toi(Second Person, Dual, Passive ). Tus( Second Person, Plural, Active ) Tos( Second Person, Plural, Passive ). Ni(M)/Nu(F)( Third Person, Singular, Active ) Na(F)/Ne(M)( Third Person , Singular, Passive) Nir( Third person, Dual, Active ) Nar( Third person, Dual, Passive ) Nis( Third person, Plural, Active ) Nas( Third Person, Plural, Passive )

I know thats an overload but I dont know how to add tables to my language.

Nouns and adjectives

Not much is in this section, but again like in english the adjective comes before the noun so.

I had a  good time is Me pre kaser o buen tem.

Also, it follows subject, verb, object like in other Romance Languages.

So Me is the subject, kaser is the verb and time is the time is the object.

Thats the general grammar

Outro and glossary

Conlang- Stands for Constructed language

International Phonetic Alphabet( IPA ) A universal alphabet used by linguists to show different sounds in different languages

Subject- The person who is being something

Object- The person who is having the subject do something to them(Sorry for the poor definition )

Panamericana- Name of the language

Firstly, I want to thank EtymologyNerd and Human1011 for giving me the inspiration to start this conlang. Next, I also would like to thank DeepAI for helping review and spot potential inaccuracies from occuring. Also, about why there is little vocabulary in the language, dont worry, that will be covered in the next, ideally next Saturday. I will set up the Jetpunk friend group of linguists if your interested for the next blog.
