A standard 8/10. Misclicked on Edinburgh and had no clue which band removed the brown M&Ms, thought it was Pink Floyd

I went for Blue Oyster Cult on that one but they all seemed so plausible haha

10/10 but not my best score.

I always thought that a) the m&ms thing was apocryphal and b) that it was Black Sabbath.

I guess it makes sense but couldn't Van Halen have just asked for M&M's to see if they read the contract? Why make some poor intern remove every brown M&M, especially when they're probably not being too sanitary either

Some people are skeptical of the official explanation and think it was just a publicity stunt.

Often if Van Halen were playing a venue then the local paper would take some photos of venue staff picking out the brown M&Ms before the show, so it was free publicity for them.

Yea that makes more sense to me. Especially since once the media gets hold of it, future venues would know about the M&M thing without having to read the contract, so it holds no weight if they do the M&M thing correctly

They wanted to see if the venue actually listened to their demands

Can’t believe the only one I missed was the month when in retrospect it’s so flipping obvious!

9/10 today, didn't know the M&Ms one, although I feel like I should have. Made up for it with a lucky guess on the Hunger Games one though

Question 1 is wrong-the mid-atlantic ridge is the longest in the world
+1
Level 68

Well, is the Mid-Atlantic Ridge an option here? No.
+1
Level 75

It asks for the longest mountain chain in the world which is indeed the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, not which of the following is the longest

The one about "Hunger Games" was a complete guess.

Van Halen one is interesting. I bet a lot of the people who said Johnny Depp associated it with Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
