Note: We accept Perth for the most remote city over 1 million people because the population of the Honolulu metro area is just barely over 1 million.

Really interesting couple of quizzes, I learned a lot.

Did sit for several minutes trying to work out why it gave me Honolulu when I typed Perth. Ended up doubting my sanity 'til I saw your note above.

I misread "ever controlled" as "never controlled", and got surprised that the Dutch apparently controlled so much of China and Japan.
