A lot of possibilities in this group of letters that I expected to see, like bleat, or Bizet, but a very good balance of difficulty and fun.

Nazi chant? I recall it was more of a greeting. Chant would imply they went on chating it repetitively as they marched or something. No?

The greeting was "Heil Hitler". In the rallies the leader would shout "Seig" and the rest would chant "Heil".

Seig does not exist. And sieg heil definitely was a greeting / salute.

And doesnt something need to be sung to be a chant? Or part of a ritual (like saying ohmmmm). In my understanding of the word chant, it is not a chant. But it the case it is somehow chanted in one form or another. It is still first and formost a greeting/salute meaning hail victory. The salute was actually obligatory at one point.

Couldn't figure out the 9-Letter word in time :( But it's so obvious once you see it!

I saw it straight away. Didn't even have to look at the clue.

I didn't see it -- like, literally did not see that there was an additional one and was just perplexed why all were answered but it hadn't stopped counting down! By the time I saw the box off to the side, there were only a few seconds left :-(

The clue for Elba is very vague; I knew the original palindrome but once you put Napoleon in there I got confused. I kept scratching my head at it wondering what on Earth does it need that could possibly relate to Napoleon.

Nevermind! Googled Elba and it's clear now, although you could've worded the clue a little less mysteriously.

I couldn't get the cotton gin inventor, but fortunately got a longer answer that helped me!

My streak continues! I either get the 9-letter answer immediately, or not at all. This time I was lucky :)
