If someone wonders wether 'X' part is South or is North, well, whoever that is I'm gonna explain it to you. This quiz, as many others, follow the law of JetPunk's borders. That means that Panama is not split into two, Trinidad is North American and no country having a territory or constituent country in some part of the continent is included in the quiz (France and the UK).
Missing France. I think it's clear that all those years ago people were rightly complaining that French Guiana shouldn't be an answer, it should just be France. It's not an overseas territory like the Falklands, it's just a part of France.
There are two SVG maps of South America, one with the other country's territories - like French Guiana and the Falkland Islands - and one without. This one is the one without the territories.
Maybe that is not wrong, it would be possible to have two continent that had less countries than the others, for example if Oceania also had 12 countries.
