I only knew of the Peoria in Illinois, so when I dragged the pin there and it didn't take, I wasn't sure what to do. I eventually ended up just dragging it all over the map randomly until I eventually got close enough that it was accepted.
My first thought was that it might be nice to indicate that it is, e.g. "Peoria, AZ" to differentiate it from "Peoria, IL." Although I totally understand why you would not want to do this. I'm not sure what a good solution is, though.
Although perhaps your take is just: "That's no different from you not knowing where a city is at all, and what you did is what I expect people to do." i.e.: "Yup. Working as intended."
If that's the case, then: fair! Just felt strange to me. At first I thought I'd done something to break the quiz.
And yes, I did decide to never put the state since it kinda defeats the purpose of the quiz. I probably should have avoided either Peoria since they’re somewhat similar in size.

Awesomely challenging quiz.
San Francisco is slightly in the ocean. This means that if you place in just a smidge to the east of its actual location- it’s in ‘close’ instead of ‘bullseye.’ Don’t expect you to change this awesome map but just letting it be known.
