Pin the city on the world map! You have to get within about 500 km to get a point. Careful, though! You get more points the closer you are to the city! Four points for a bullseye.
The answers change each time.
You may safely put the pin down 500km from the target city.
Brilliant quiz, took me quite a few tries to scrape the 5/5! (57/60, after an insane run of 9 bullseyes in a row, but thought I'd messed it up at the end haha)
Would love to see this concept for landmarks as well!
Please do! Although the criteria for which cities will be added will have to be somewhat arbitrary of course. Maybe a version of the map with some large country subdivisions (US states, Chinese provinces) shown would fit with that version so inland cities can be guessed more precisely
I think about 5-6 separate times (in multiple plays) I said "I don't know where that is!" and then proceeded to bullseye it. (Funny how you don't necessarily know how much you do or don't know) Then came Curitiba, which it seems I actually don't know where it is because I barley got ballpark.
Few tries later and I got it figured out though, because it came up on my perfect 60.
Other highlights... New York is surprisingly difficult without Long Island on the map. Getting Los Angeles bullseye was weirdly annoying (felt like my hand kept shaking off of it, but that means I wasn't quite centered to begin with). Completely switched Melbourne and Sydney's places by second-guessing myself. Never got a bunch of cities I expect probably made the cut, but got Yaounde and Douala like 5 times each. Lanzhou is a mean inclusion, especially since there were many Chinese cities I expected but never saw. Surprised how bad stats are at Rawalpindi, compared to like any Indian city.
Two of the city signs in mine were blank. I had to just drag them all over the map until they landed somewhere correct. Took up a lot of my answering time. This is on an iPhone, maybe it only works on computers
Hmmm. I do this on an iPhone and have never had a blank tag. I wonder if the SVG is having trouble loading before the page tries to run it because of a slow internet? Other than that, I can’t think of what it could be.
Great quiz. Not sure how this could be tackled without giving away an answer, but the quizzer has to make a call whether they're supposed to aim for Bimingham UK or Birmingham Alabama...
Is there a specific issue you had? For most users it’s just clicking and dragging a pin with a city’s name onto that city. Does the next pin not automatically appear for you?
Love this quiz, but it really makes me wish JetPunk had ways to modify the RNG of "answers change every time you play" quizzes. I want to try all the cities!
This could be a really good Learning Mode format too, if QM wants to bring them back in a more interesting way, cause I want to keep playing to get closer and closer on ones I miss but instead I get all the easy ones I've already bullseyed!
for the sake of honesty there should be a way to skip questions or the option to get 0 points from a city if you place the pin far enough from its actual place
Some quick math shows that since 130,307 takes are on the quiz and .2% of takes get 60, then 60 has been gotten approximately 260 times. And if people stop taking the quiz after getting 60 (which I certainly won’t!) then about 260 people have gotten 60.
Hmmm. They work fine on testing. I wonder if the script didn’t fully load before the quiz. Do you have internet extensions or potentially an ad blocker?
i didnt get all bullseye(54/60 score) but i at least knew the general location of even kunming and fortaleza, which are genuinely hard to know cities for petty 14 year olds like me
Would love to see this concept for landmarks as well!

10/10 quiz

It really helps a lot when several of your random selections aren't in the middle of China hahaha
I finally got 3 points after more than 10 tries...
Shanghai, Seattle, Tehran, Yangon, Casablanca, Rio de Janeiro, Rotterdam, Boston, Lagos, Kampala, Durban, Madrid, Bamako, Sanaa, Dallas.
Orlando, Wuhan, Tampa, Hanoi, Mumbai, Caracas, Kathmandu, Vancouver, Dubai, Rome, Sanaa, St. Petersburg, Miami, Fortaleza, Casablanca.
Wuhan, Mumbai, Fortaleza, and Casablanca were the hardest. I cannot believe I got them all on bullseyes!
