Which is the source? According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_in_Germany_by_population Germany has only 4 cities above 1 million, UK has only 4 urban areas (not cities) above 1 million....

The source is citypopulation.de. The numbers I used previously were a little outdated so I now updated it with the latest figure as of 1 July 2014. Two more countries now join the list. Regarding the Germany city population, your wiki page refers to city proper population. Refer to this on how city population is usually defined: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World%27s_largest_cities

Most of the information in this quiz is not true. It is missing many countries, and some of the cities listed do not have 1 million inhabitants. Maybe, the creator may of used a fake site, or, is not researching any information in populations.

...did you not read the very comment you're responding to??!?

Source is citypopulation.de. It's not a "fake site" or anything of the like. It's a standard (and arguably the standard used on JetPunk) source for figures of this type.

The cities listed may not have 1 million in the city proper, but they all do in the urban area, as per the source given. You may not like that choice, but that's not a problem with the quiz, it's just a mismatch between your expectation and the reality.

According to citypopulation.de, there are only 4 Italian urban agglomerates over 1M population (Milan, Naples, Rome, Turin)

As you see, this quiz is inconsistent. Despite the title "5 or more cities", what they count are urban areas, not cities.

It says "metro areas" in the description.

It's totally fair for clarifications or qualifications to be added in the description where they would make the title unwieldy.

If you're expecting all the relevant info to be in the title and are ignoring the quiz description, that's not a problem with the quiz.

That's wild that Philippines has over 100 million people but fewer than 5 cities over 1 million, but a country like Morocco has more than 5

Neat quiz! Maybe it's just me but I think it would be better if you had a little hint column that told you what continent the country belongs to.

Or Bangladesh. Although cities might not be easy when your whole country is a river delta.

Turkiye -> Turkey

Is it on purpose that countries with the same number of cities are not sorted alphabetically?

Turkïye is missing an umlaut, but it is the correct name for the country. It's not JetPunk standard, but it still accepts either.

Not according to the source.

The quiz is using agglomerations, not city proper.

The source lists - as of the January 2025 update - 12 German agglomerations with a metro population over 1M:
