14:24 my fastest. Usually go guessing the countries following the map in my head with some random types in between and then filling the table. Maybe should try filling the capitals sequentially with the world map in my head as well...
Kudos for putting together one of the most masochistic quizzes on the site. I got 719 before giving up - 4 points. But this, just like the currency quiz, seriously needs many more type-ins for the Ukrainian currency. The first spelling that comes up when you google it isn't even accepted, and there are many more.
I was sitting here with my Ukrainian guest and we tried multiple spellings as well. Then I googled it and it accepted that answer. Maybe my algorithm is blessed by Jetpunk.
A trick in Asian nations ending with "stan" is that their curency is when the word is removed. That why more people get the currency more than the nation.
Done in 21:03. Did countries first, which automatically filled some capitals. Some of the capitals and languages are also the currency, so finished capitals, then went to languages. I had to really think about the currency.
This is nonsense. I got 746 and it still wasn't enough to beat 90% let alone 95. People are obviously cheating, 1 hour is criminally high as a time limit for this quiz. I think it should be lowered.
The comment provides potential type-ins for official languages, not the nations themselves. They already accounted for those initialisms in the type-ins they provided.
Excellent quiz, a true test of memory! Got it finished in 27 minutes and 6 seconds. Probably could've shaved a few minutes off that but at the end I had to search the list for what I'd missed lol
Mauritius has no official language but English and French are generally considered to be de facto national and common languages of Mauritius, as they are the languages of government administration, courts, and business. Meanwhile Mauritian Creole is spoken by the majority of the population as a native language. So I think you should be able to accept English and French for languages of Mauritius.
The same as Eritrea. It has no official language. Instead Eritrea has nine national languages, one of which is Tigrinya. Meanwhile Tigrinya, Arabic, and English serve as de facto working languages, with English used in university education and many technical fields. So I think you should also need to accept English for Eritrea.
I got all of the answers on my first try. I got all the countries, capitals, official languages, and even all the currencies. This quiz deserves 5 stars and to be a featured quiz!
I was so scared because I almost got 776/777 from missing ertirea's unofficial language, but then I checked the answers for Ethiopia's language and Tigrinya was the LAST ONE I TRIED LOLL
702/777 = 90% Nice score, unfortunately only worth 4 points.
Well I got all countries and languages so that is something (I actually could not think of which c was missing for Cuba until the last 30 seconds!)
Apart from still missing a lot of currency my other absentees were capitals in the caribean, oceania and africa as usual.
Close call was kwanzi instead of kwanza. All spelling variations (like 20 attempts) that are close to Koruna but not quite it.. Fiorint (and some variations) for Forint. Ringit (or atleast ringil) for ringgit. Dinar for denar.
it got reaaaally hard on some languages left, 1 capital i always forget and some currencies. But thanks to all these tries on Jetpunk quizzes ^^ Training is good
Basically none of these countries are going anywhere close to “Federated States of Micronesia” in being the most niche on this list.
Why do it like that? That just made it all the more confusing for NO reason, there was no Kingdom’s, People’s Republics or even the specific Republics other than Congo…
so explain why you need to use the specific for “Federated States”!?
Very common to refer to it with its full name of Federated States of Micronesia. "Micronesia" is still an accepted type-in so what's the issue? It's using the standard accepted JetPunk names
Same reason "United States" is included in USA, "United Kingdom" is included for UK. Would you prefer they were also simply "America" and "Great Britain and Northern Island"?
I thought it was very good, but the 9.5% of the takers beats me
However please just add "Tugrik" as a possible typing for the Mongolian currency.
Never thought I would see this one day
628/777 only gave me 3/5 points. Grrrrr...
Mega-quizzes such as this should award more points. If some of those ridiculously simple math quizzes give 5, this should give at least 20.
So, I got 196/196 countries and 192/196 languages. Yes, a lot of this is because I have learned on Jetpunk and am fresh on a lot of it.
But capitals and currencies? Just LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!
I'm not sure where I should say this but as of January 2023, Croatia's currency is the euro.
Other than that, amazing quiz!
Papua New Guinea: (PNG|PAPUANEWGUINEA)(SL|SIGNLANGUAGE)
New Zealand: (NZ|NEWZE[AE]LAND)(SL|SIGNLANGUAGE)
South Korea: (S?K|ROK|SOUTHKOREA)(SL|SIGNLANGUAGE)
My biggest problem is always the currencies. I know a bunch of them, but I'll still to learna lot before finihing this quizz.

And somehow I totally did not think of pound haha
But I did get the Ukrainian currency :)

Also Bulgaria uses the Euro
